The undulating line wrapping around this lamp mimics the path of the Terlingua creek itself.  Starting just north of the city and winding down the lamp body to where the creek journeys through the Santa Elena Canyons and ultimately joining the Rio Grande.  Wild clay, harvested from the Terlingua creek, was used in the carved line of the creek to add a unique a special touch to this lamp.

This lamp is part of a series that was dreamt up while participating in an artist residency at Willow House  in Terlingua, Texas.
