Is there a more spiritual moment than when you stand at the base of the Santa Elena Canyon at Big Bend National Park? You feel small and insignificant but you also feel so connected to the earth and the people that have stood in that exact space before you.  It’s such a juxtaposition in so many ways.  This lamp reprints the canyon itself and glaze made with wild clay, harvested from the Terlingua creek, to add a matte and warm appearance to the top and to define the lines of the canyon as well.

This lamp is part of a series that was dreamt up while participating in an artist residency at Willow House  in Terlingua, Texas.

11” in height to harp base.  Wired by D & W lighting in Austin, Texas.

*Lamp shade not included*
